Requirements for a Dealer
Requirements for a Dealer
• A bicycle shop or a workshop equipped with the necessary bicycle tools
• Solid expertise in e-bikes
Dealer Obligations
• Purchase of at least 2–3 models, with at least one demo bike available for customers
• Stocking of essential spare parts (e.g. replacement motor [provided free by me], battery, display, cables, derailleur hanger, etc.)
Benefits for the Dealer
• Access to my entire bicycle inventory, enabling the dealer to offer bikes directly from my stock
• Training provided by me in assembly, maintenance, and repair
• Ability to purchase Frey- / Bafang-specific spare parts directly from me
• Official listing on the Frey Bike Switzerland website
• Branding and marketing support from Frey Bike Switzerland and Frey Bike China, which dealers can benefit from
• No minimum sales requirements
• Provision of marketing materials (partly free, partly at cost):
At cost: dealer-specific brochures, T-shirts, sweaters, large banners
Free (possibly): roll-up banners, flags
Warranty Provided by Frey Bike Switzerland
• So far, no formal warranty has been issued. If a defect was present upon delivery, I replaced the part immediately
• Spare parts are offered to dealers at very low prices, often at my purchase price, to keep warranty cases affordable
• For motors, the dealer should be able to replace individual components, avoiding the need to replace the entire motor under warranty
• The only major cost factor besides the motor is the battery – however, failures are very rare. Recently, I replaced a defective battery for a dealer under warranty
